When it comes to buying diapers, the trick is to make sure you NEVER run out and at the same time don’t get stuck with too many of the wrong size as your baby grows.

On average, a baby will go through about 3000 diapers during the first year. You can save a lot of money by planning ahead and ordering diapers from Brandless. Not only are they far less than the cost of the diapers in most stores, Brandless diapers offer a lot of qualities most conventional diapers don’t; they’re plant-based (the core of the diaper is made with sustainably-sourced wood pulp, and plant-based materials are also included in the top sheet and back sheet), offer 12 hours of protection, are hypoallergenic, and they’re free from latex, lotions, fragrances, and chlorine processing. Plus, each size has a different design printed with non-toxic, water-based ink.

Brandless recommends 1 diaper pack per week, regardless of size. Thus, you should be able to get by with 4 packs a month (but every baby is different, so just adjust as necessary!). Be sure to place your next order when you open the last package from your last order — or better yet, subscribe so you can get all the diapers you send directly to you without even having to worry about it  (and don’t forget the wipes!).

You will have enough things on your mind and more than enough things on your to-do list when your baby arrives. Take the guesswork, hassle, and hauling heavy, bulky packages out of the diaper buying process by having them delivered straight to your door. More and better for less.

You baby may continue to use sizes 3 and 4 diapers after his or her first birthday. As your toddler grows, however, you can move to the Brandless Size 5 (27 lbs +) or Size 6 (35+ lbs) diapers and eventually phase them out when you decide to potty train (usually sometime after the 2-year mark).

Note: Brandless does not make a newborn size diaper. Many babies outgrow the newborn size in a few weeks and some slip right into Size 1 diapers when they are born. If you are stocking the nursery for your new baby, your Size 1 order will not go to waste! Neither will an order or two of Plant-Based Wipes and the super gentle lotions and baby wash products from Brandless.
