Success Stories: Why These Brandless Customers Swear by CBD

Our customers understand wellness. It’s an intrinsic part of who you are. So, when CBD became a must-have wellness product and we announced our plans for 2020, we weren’t surprised that a lot of you wanted to try it before anyone else.

But not everyone has felt quite ready to take the CBD plunge — and we get it. There are a lot of claims being made about CBD, and it’s hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. With that in mind, we’ve reached out to our customers for their CBD success stories and personal accounts on why and how they use the cannabinoid.

Katryna: CBD to Calm Down

Katryna recently moved across the continent from Ontario, Canada to California with her husband and dog. And while the climate may have changed, one thing has stayed the same: her relationship with CBD. Two years ago, after reading about the cannabinoid, Katryna was curious to see whether it could help her feel less nervous — without the unwanted intoxication that comes with taking other cannabis-derived products.

She started out by trying CBD capsules, which have since become an integral part of her wellness routine. “The biggest impact CBD’s had on my life is with my relaxation,” says Katryna. ”I feel more calm when using it.” This is common praise for the cannabinoid; its ability to relax both body and mind may help with stress management and can also be easily incorporated into your lifestyle.

The one thing Katryna wants everyone to know? “You don’t feel the effects of THC,” she says. People who are about to try CBD for the first time often feel paranoid about, well, feeling paranoid, but CBD is a completely different cannabinoid than THC. It calms you down, and has no psychotoxic effects.

Steven: CBD to Handle a Busy Schedule

Plenty of people consider using CBD as a discreet way of supporting daily stress management , and that’s what inspired Steven to try the compound. The father of two has a hectic schedule — he works full time, is doing his masters, and does theatre in his spare time — and was curious to know more about its potential calming effects. “I first tried CBD about a year ago, shortly after it was legalized in my state,” he recalls. “At the time, it was not readily accessible and was rather expensive.” 

But now that CBD has become more commonplace, Steven uses tinctures to help manage his stress and CBD topical creams for post-workout massages to support muscle recovery. “I found quickly that I was much calmer and able to function at a much better level,” he says. “For me, CBD is here to stay.” 

His biggest piece of advice for those interested in trying CBD is figuring out precisely what you want it to do for you. 

Approach wellness with intention, and then experiment with a few different forms to figure out what CBD products will get you the results you’re looking for.

Karen: CBD to Age Gracefully

As an anti-ageism activist, Karen’s mission is to rewire society’s common perspectives about aging. And one of the ways she’s doing this is by aging gracefully herself. She makes a large effort to stay healthy and active as she grows older, has a preference for alternative medicine and, after hearing countless CBD success stories, was convinced that the compound was exactly what she needed to ease her discomfort and help her to feel calm and relaxed. 

Karen has been using CBD for four years now, choosing oils, capsules, and creams depending on the desired effect. “It works well for me, and helps to reduce the amount of over-the-counter medications I take,” she says. She wants you to know, though, that not all CBD products are the same — you need to find the one that’s right for you.

With different sources, extraction methods, forms, terpenes, and dosages, every CBD product is unique. The best thing you can do is spend time doing research, establish your expectations for intended effects, and then pick a form that seems to suit you best. Then, start low and go slow to find out how it affects your body.
